The bidders of the second bus package under the government contracting model were revealed by the Land Transport Authority today. Tower Transit did not participate in the tender.

Tower Transit CEO Mr Adam Leishman said, “To be the first local bus operator appointed in over 30 years and the first under the new government contracting model is an honour and a responsibility Tower Transit takes very seriously, so we’re focusing our energies on the Bulim bus package right now.

Things are ramping up and September is going to be a milestone for us. In just a few short weeks, we’ll begin recruitment and by the end of September, the Bulim Depot will have all the amenities to make a comfortable home for our people and our buses.

Our priority now is our bus captains and staff, to offer them fulfilling and rewarding careers at Tower Transit and to be ready for operational commencement in Q2 2016. With all the changes being made in public transport, this promises to be a new era for bus services and a rare opportunity for those who would join Tower Transit to lead the industry.”

“All the best to the bidders of the second bus package,” he added.
